New York indie-band Stereo Stereo began as an experiment between long-time friends in early 2001.
While they continually look to their contemporaries for inspiration, bands like The Flaming Lips, Supergrass, The Pixies, Blur, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Stone Roses, The Happy Mondays and U2 have influenced their sound and defined for them what being a band is about.
Stereo Stereo's music has been featured in film, TV and radio, including The Tribeca Film Festival in NYC & on the A&E network. Most recently, they played at the Concert for Clean Energy which benefited the Environmental Advocates of New York. Also, the band has played Boston's Walk for Hunger on the Boston Common main stage three years in a row and has worked with The Capital District's Regional Food Bank in Albany, NY to create benefit performances with City Harvest.
STEREO STEREO LIVE at the Nathan's Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Championship!!! July 4, 2008. The song "Eat It Up" was the theme song for the contest.
