About Me
Some say that entertaining people for money is the oldest profession in the world. Personally I have only been djing for about 20 years. From humble beginnings at the local youth club discos of my teens, I soon progressed into the world of nightclubs and the art of playing the specialist night.
Utilizing my ever expanding knowledge and record collection I ventured into a career as professional dj. I dabbled in many fields, musical and literal, playing at nights as varied as 70's disco, 60's psychedelia, soul, funk, ska and alternative/indie in and around manchester, before moving to london for a while, making a living and a reputation for myself from rare grooves, obscure eclectia and marathon party sets.
Throughout the 90's I played in venues large and small, famous and infamous (and obscure) including The Rocket, The Hacienda, The Athenaeum, Maximus, The Cross, and The Ministry of Sound. Also in cities as far afield as Glasgow, London, Brighton and West Bretton. Never failing to entertain the crowd.
More recently I have played all sorts of nights. I was resident at both burlesque nights in Manchester for the last few years, playing jazz and blues dating back to the 1920's, an eclectic evening of funk and ska and the longest running indie night in manchester, amongst others.
Yes I am busy, but occassionally available.
