Fader

After being introduced to jungle drum & bass back in 93 by his older brother, who at the time was already out and about attending raves like Lazerdrome, World Dance, Desire and many others, it wasn't untill 94 that Fader looked old enough to get into these clubs, the fist rave was Desire @ London Astoria this would be the changing point he was hooked!! After that Fader was attending as many raves as possible, meeting people along the way who would later help out to start his djing career offafter 5 months progressed onto 1210 Technics, along the way building up his record collection. It wasn't till 97 that he started sending off mix tapes and giving out to promoters and mates. Also at the time attending some illegal underground raves getting a set with I.R.S sound system would start the bookings off with them holding an event @ Pleasure Rooms in Tottenham in 99.Into 2000 Fader and a few mates set up a drum & bass night called CHAMPION SOUNDS (www.championsounds.co.uk) to help up n coming DJ's/MC's have a chance to play out. After linking up with DJ Specialist he got a booking down a newly started DNB night @ Chunnel Club along side ANDY C, BROCKIE, IC3, SKIBADEE and more, this would be the first major booking and lead on to few other bookings at this night. Late 2000 saw Fader DJ on various pirate stations and internet station Worldwide FM for just a year.Early 2001 Fader and Special K set up a new Thursday night event called THURSDAY NIGHT DNB this event would see him get a regular bi-weekly set being one of the residents DJ's he got to DJ along side all the top calibre DJ's & MC's.Bookings for ONE NATION, HYPNOSIS (Wales), PURE SCIENCE, BEATS BY DESIGN came through as well as having events for CHAMPION SOUNDS in conjunction with PURE SCIENCE (Atomics, Maidstone), plus gaining a radio slot on Kent/South East London's finest Legal Radio station MILLENNIUM DANCE 106.8 FM on rotation with Marly Marl of Metalheadz and some of the other top underground dance acts about and various guest spots on mighty PYROTECHNIC RADIO (www.pyrotechnicradio.com).Over the past few years fader has DJed in SWITZERLAND, HOLLAND, SLOVINEA with future bookings in europe. After a short break CHAMPION SOUNDS is back with a new monthly night at there new home Delanos bromley.2005 lots of things have been happening for the past 3 years CHAMPION SOUNDS has been going from strength to strength with the monthly night down bromley, hosting some of the biggest names in the scene and teaming up with the likes of KOOL FM as well as giveing chances to the up n comings dj¹s & mc¹s. More bookings in Euprope adding to the map with bookings Germany, Beljium, france. Also achiveing a big ambition of joining the biggest and best jungle,drum&bass pirate radio station the award winning KOOL FM at the begening of 2004, with a weekly show wed night 7pm til 9 pm alongside MC K-eye. On the production front fader has been busy in the studio with Jev, and with a release on Direct recordings as well as working on some other projects.
