About Me

This basically covers all the angles.

My Interests

I like Jeopardy. i said it, that's right! I enjoy White Russians, a good read on a quiet afternoon and naps in the sun. The occasional cigar will be smoked on the patio. I suck at racquetball, but still love to get out there and sweat...and fall....and hurt myself...

I'd like to meet:

Cicero. So I would finally have a pointed argument against Esperanto. Oh, and Dave Attell, the laughbringer himself. Not to mention Moses... Stack him up against GI Joe or Ken -- Moses wins every time!..

Music:

Music. The voice of the soul. Or is that mathematics? I guess that depends on which magazine you subscribe to. First and foremost SUFJAN STEVENS and MUSE. Thank you both for giving us good music to love. Classical, trip-hop, Baroque, Modern, Indie, and maybe 2 country songs. Bach, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, Ludovico Einaudi, Paul Oakenfold, BT, Basement Jaxx, MUSE!, Fischerspooner, Massive Attack, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Bravery, Live, The killers, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle, Ritchie Valens, Mamas and the Papas, Radiohead, Editors, Moby, Coldplay, Elliot Smith (waltz #2!!), AFI, Dave Matthews, The Arcade Fire, The Shins, Snow Patrol, Death Cab for Cutie, Rooney, The Decemberists, The Postal Service, Cake, Beck and many, many more......

Movies:

Where to begin? Everything from Chevy Chase and Dan Akroid in Spies like Us down to Napoleon Dynamite. Gladiator is definitely one of my favorites. Schindler's List, American Beauty, City of God, Hotel Rwanda, Lost in Translation, American History X, Dumb and Dumber, Super Troopers, Garden State, Road Trip, Resevoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2, Mystery Science Theatre 3000 the Movie, The Last Samurai, LOTR, Ghost Busters 1 & 2, The Goonies, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Boondock Saints, The Pianist, Saving Private Ryan, Man on the Moon, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Anchorman, Braveheart, Full Metal Jacket, Shaun of the Dead, Traffic, The Green Mile, Signs, A River Runs Through It, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Christmas Vacation, La Bamba, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Fight Club, The Fifth Element, Breakfast Club, Office Space, Indiana Jones, Money Pit, Sleepless in Seattle, Trains Planes and Automobiles. I could go on for days people. Really, I could.

Television:

I relish Family Guy and earlier seasons of The Simpsons. When I have the time and ability I catch some LOST, The Office, Chapelle Show, Myth Busters, local access, OPB, History Channel or even the occasional Adult Swim. For the most part I just buy my favorites when they are released to DVD.

Books:

I do have to say that one of my best reads ever has been 1984. So I will have none of your doublethink or newspeak. The Dark Tower Series is treating me well so far. I also have to admit my love for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Anything that can paint such a vivid image in my mind without showing me its thong scores high. National Geographic, for bringing me up to speed on slavery in the modern world, gets an honorable mention. And let's not forget Wired magazine; what will they think of next, those rebel billionaires?!

Heroes:

The Hebrew Hammer, of course. The Green Lantern is a gooch.
