Dave Higgins

Dave has turned to the guitar, after a decade as a jazz pianist, and written a whole new repertoire that sounds like a mesh between Sting, Jeff Buckley, Crowded House and Ben Harper. Dave has spent time in London producing or co-writing with the likes of Jocelyn Brown, The Brand New Heavies, Pic Withers from Dire Straits and Natasha Brice from Salsoul Nugget.  He returned to Melbourne in 2004 and produced tracks for his sister, Missy Higgins, along with "DJDJ" (a collaboration with Johnny Mackay) and various other commercial soundtracks and independent projects. Since the start of 2006, Dave has put aside his studio and is currently writing for his forthcoming album. He delivers his melodies with a sincere emotive energy that conveys a unique appeal to his performance.
