I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Feeling chained down by my hometown, I ran away from the close-minded opinions that I grew up surrounded by. I started singing, began touring and ended up in Melbourne, captivated by the overhead tram webs and city skyline. Whilst wallowing around on the dole, I jump-started myself into running Bayonet Records and helping Tom Woodward get a band together, The Orphanage. Through working hard (and drinking hard) I shed the last of the dusty layers from home and settled into my new one.
I book shows and gained enough self-confidence in my life to not take people's crap. I respect people who work hard at their goals, particularly musicians. And a hard-working musician is the only type I ever want to do business with.
The Orphanage is joy. I sing, enjoy finding random items of percussion and I also lift amps into and out of my car.
Although I work in the music industry, I'm not interested in being friends with every band or musician in the world.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Most musicians from my favourite bands + more specifically, Bob Dylan, Nick Cave, Jim Morrison, the Marquis De Sade, Jesus, Ceasar, Alexander the Great, Eleanor of Aquitane, Helen of Troy, Buddha, plus others...I just can't think of them at the moment.
However, I am already lucky enough to have met people who make my heart skip beats...

One night I learnt some goddamn rhythm.

It was a cold and wintery Canberra night. The Phoenix Bar was just getting started up - the raucous calls of drunken yobs filling the space that cigarette smoke used to be. Then... the guitar broke. I...
