About Me
I create from the mind, not from what's popular. My style is outlandish. If you wish to work with me, leave your sanity at the door.

I am currently an extension student at Harvard University. My major musical influences are Timbaland, Dr. Dre, DanjaHandz, Ryan Leslie, Jimmy Hendricks, Gene Kelly, Lenny Kravitz, Common, Carlos Santana, Audrey Hepburn, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Fall Out Boy, N.E.R.D., Mark Ronson, DJ Danger Mouse, Frank Sinatra, Wes Montgomery, Nujabes, Charlie Parker, Zero 7, Cinematic Orchestra, Isaac Hayes, Rage Against the Machine, Basement Jaxx, Massive Attack, Flying Lotus, The Crystal Method, Liam Howlett, and Marvin Gaye. What more is there to say?
The greatest trick ever performed wasn't by Harry Houdini, David Copperfield, or Blackstone.
The greatest trick ever performed wasn't by Willy Lynch, Adolf Hitler, or Jim Jones.
The greatest trick ever performed wasn't by Bush, 9/11, or the weapons of mass destruction.
You want to know what it is? It's the Devil making the world think he didn't exist.
R.I.P. - Toni Asante - I miss you man. You're dead and gone, but not forgotten. I'll make it big man, I will. You always told me I would. I won't let you down. You're still my motivation.

8/8/07 - Rising R&B Star Mateo Amarei It's been a while since I've done something r&b. Everyone thinks they can sing, right?. Even I've been gullible enough to think so, courtesy of a tone deaf ex-girlfriend who told me I could! I was a victim. Moving on, a select few actually can sing, but lack the talent and vocal dynamics to grab a listener by the ear or make a hit. Meet Mateo Amarie. This kid is the exception. He writes, sings, and composes his own vocals. He has written songs for the likes of Chris Brown, Cassie, & Rihanna. I sent this cat a track, and he had it completed within 72 hours. I'm very fortunate to get to work with someone as talented as him. So, please take the time to let me know what you think of his new record entitled, "100" by leaving a comment. Your opinion is greatly appreciated. Till next time...
7/6/07 - Mosley Music Group Well, it's been only a year or so since I formaly began composing music electronically. Up until then, I was just a nobody. I was just another kid in the school band, who in the summer of 1997 (laying on the floor in Grandma's living room) bore witness to Timbaland's utter takeover of the recording industry via MTV, MTV2, BET, & VH1. Every single music channel I turned too was playing a song which either featured Timbo, was performed by Timbo, or produced by Timbo. Let me refresh your memories, "Up jumps the boogie, boogie jumps the beeeeat." Four years later, some clucker owed my older brother some cash but couldn't pay up. So my brother opted to just take his Playstation 2, his memory cards, and all of his video games. That worked out great for me because we didn't have money for a PS2. I was still playing throwbacks on SNES and Dreamcast. Anyhow, one of these said video games was Sony's Music Generator. Get this, it was music production software for Playstation. Believe it or not, that's how I got my start. I would come home from school on Friday, lock my door, and get to work. I literally would not see the light of day until Monday morning on my way to school. I was so focused that I would starve myself. I just couldn't even get up from my music to eat. I was just a freshman in high school making music for fun. However, after hearing my music, my friends on the other hand, told me that I should definately opt for some real software. They told me, the music I was creating was incredible, and that if I could do that with a gaming console, just imagine what I could do with better software. Moving on, I decided to take the next step and start producing with Fruity Loops. Ahhh, those were the good 'ole days. Everything was EASY back then. That progam definately wasn't meant to do some of the things I did with it, lol. None the less, it served its purpose. 'Nuff said. I've moved on to better equipment, a faster computer, and more efficient software. Well, the 13 year old pip-squeak is now a 23 year old young man. After all the blood, sweat, and tears I finally have my shot, courtesy of someone very close to the man who originally influenced me to start producing. I guess it's time to get serious. I may have an opportunity to start an internship, which I'm hoping will roll over into an apprenticeship. We can do anything we set our minds too. If you want somethng bad enough, you'll FIND A WAY to get it. Stay tuned for updates.
7/2/07 - In Da Hood - Trae feat. Yung Joc In an attempt to garnish recognition, I've remixed Trae's southern classic "In Da Hood" featuring Yung Joc. So far, I've gotten some recognition for the piece. I recieved an e-mail from Trae's MySpace page and it it, was a phone number for me to call. Hopefully this is a foot in the door. I'll keep you posted!
