Redbak has already established himself as a solid battle MC competing in many of the major competitions around Sydney, and has also shown his flexible freestyle talents at numerous open mics and ciphers.
Having first caught people’s attention on the Eastern Bloc’s ‘Freedom or Death’ LP (2004), and making a mark through various collaborations on underground mixtapes and albums, he developed a reputation for entertaining and energetic showmanship through countless live performances alongside some of Sydney’s most respected and established acts. A creative artist who enjoys a challenge, Redbak decided to go against the grain and develop a full length album dedicated to two important parts of his life- Hip Hop and his Latin heritage. Part homage to his parent’s homeland, Redbak’s new album, under the moniker of Bravo Linguista, is an exciting journey showcasing his versatility and passion for music.
Uniquely original and entertaining, the album highlights the quality and experience of Redbak’s work and manages to uplift the standard of Latin Hip Hop in Australia, while competing with the best of Spanish speaking rap emanating from the US, Spain and Latin America, having received a great deal of response both overseas and locally.
And you don’t even need to speak the language to enjoy it, with slamming beats by The Defiant and tight turntable trickery from the likes of DJ’s DreadJuan, Subway and Nino Brown, added with Redbak’s invigorating flow and smooth delivery, this independant release is the first of many projects to be realised in the near future..
