At 17, Carré was discovered at a snow cone stand in New Orleans by Trent Reznor which led to working with him and opening the Nine Inch Nails tour, "With Teeth." She dabbled in analog recording and recorded a series of demos on a 4 track, calling the project Queen Kwong.
