About Me

“The Soul of Atlanta”From the soulful streets of Atlanta, emerges a young man ready to take the world by storm, with rhythm, soul, and a swagger all his own, B Mason, protege of musical genius and talented singer- songwriter Tony Rich, has presented himself as “The Soul of Atlanta”. Though very young in age, the vocal ability that B. Mason delivers, packs enough strength that leaves audiences comparing him to some of the most talented and well known musicians, that the world has ever known. Quite impressive for a something 20 year old who has writing and producing talents that have established him as not just another pretty boy singer with a mediocre vocal ability, but a mastermind of his craft. B. Mason’s road to fame started when he was just a child. Growing up in a Bible based home, Mason began singing in the church choir at the age of 5. By age 9, Mason was singing in his elementary school choir, as well as playing drums in the concert band. After discovering that drums weren't the only instrument that he was capable of taking on, Mason started playing the trumpet for the concert band. B. Mason decided to play in the band all throughout middle school, and once he entered high school, he joined the marching band to continue playing the trumpet. He did not join the choir in high school because he felt that it would not allow him to be himself vocally. After graduating high school, B. Mason attended Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL. He remained in the marching band for his freshman year, but then transferred to Auburn University in Auburn, AL. By this time, Mason had begun to completely ignore his musical abilities due to the hard times of being a college student. He then returned home to Atlanta, not knowing if he would be able to finish college due to financial circumstances. Fortunately, Mason was blessed with the opportunity to work for Evander Holyfield’s record company Real Deal Music Group. He used his earnings from work to pay for his way through school, as well as pick back up on his musical talents. Evander allowed Mason to record in the studio just to see what he was capable of producing, the rest is history. Mason churned out a hit on his first try in the eyes of Evander and the rest of the staff at the label. He began to record regularly, and performed at the events that Evander held with the artist on the label. He performed for many of his celebrity friends such as Magic Johnson, Robert Townsend, Jermaine Dupri and others. After working for Real Deal Music Group for two years, Evander decided that he wanted to shut the record label down due to lack of production. This left B. Mason in a bad situation because he could not record if there was no studio to record at. This is when Grammy Award Winning Songwriter Tony Rich took Mason under his wing. He began recording at Tony’s studio under his supervision and honed his craft into what it is today. Since Mason began working with Tony Rich, he has matured into a very talented songwriter, with the ability to write to almost any track in almost any genre of music. He is set on becoming the new face of R&B, and wants to bridge the gap between the musical preferences of all people. B. Mason is here to make a difference and be the difference in the music society.B. Mason...The Soul of Atlanta.
