About Me

Black Devil Disco Club "Another Skin" (Polar Pair Remix) (Lo)

How does an Italo-disco tune sound when relocated to cyber Africa? Bernard Fevre's mysterious project already gave birth to a subsequent remix project, and now, Lo are releasing another two remixes. The Polar Pair remix, and another one by New York's Nu-Disco sensations, In Flagranti. get it here

Michelle Amador “Because of You” (Polar Pair Remix) (Sick Trumpet)

The brief was “A tough broken beat number for the dance floor”, the out come is more like Zero DB, Switch and Carl Craig in a beautifully choreographed capuera fight over the beautiful voice of Ms Amador. Get it Here

Polar Pair are Malkiel Grossman and Nadav Ravid.
They met in Jerusalem over 15 years ago and in 1993 decided to produce music together.
Both share a passion for good music which is accessible yet still pushes the boundaries of tried and tested formulas. They have been practicing what they preach in various platforms, together or alone whether on national radio, DJ circuit, Club management and written and on-line media.
However, the most exciting thing for them is their ongoing joint music production and the buzz of making music together.
Currently in the studio, PP are preparing the new set of sounds that will shock the world with their unique style of rough, bass heavy production married to tuneful pop music.

The first 'Shape' includes 2 of our tracks on Side A Out of Sight, Which features TALISMAN on Vocals and Over My Head which was co-produced by MADDSLINKY and features MC Karolina .

There are 3 remixes on the flipside The PRINS THOMAS re-edit of QUANTIC's Mishaps Happenings, DIESLER's rework of Bungee Jump Against Racism by NIROBI & BARAKAS (AKA Rob Luis and Simon 'Bonobo' Green) and TM JUKE's remix of the QUANTIC SOUL ORCHESTRA anthem, Walking Through Tomorrow.

Shapes EP:Z was sold out a week after its release on November 14, 2005.

The tracks

Over My Head, a funky brokenbeat tune, came to life a couple of years ago, when Dave Jones (AKA Maddslinky, Zed Bias and Phuturistix) was invited to DJ at the Sofabeat, the now legendary club Malkiel had managed at the time. The next day he was invited to our studio, and in a couple of hours we had a killer beat and a new friend (Dave is a charming person). We called Karolina, and she came over at once and slammed the vocals in a couple of takes. The track became a favourite on the weekly parties Nadav hosted at the Sofabeat, With Karolina chanting the club name on the first few bars.

Over My Head's Demo version was first released in 2004 as a free download via the internet-only label, Tokyo Dawn Records.

Out of sight was first conceived in February 2005. We had a really sick, bass heavy beat somewhere between Crunk and Grime. We wanted to escape the obvious, and instead of opting for an aggressive, dirty vocal performance, we wanted to marry this beat to a sweet, soulful voice. We contacted TALISMAN and hit it right off - the song practically wrote itself. Beside the fact that this track generated the most enthusiastic responses, we also gained a partnership with Talisman which proved to be fruitful and inspiring.

We would like to big up those who supported these tracks so far:

Michael Rutten ( Compost )
Diplo (Big Dada)
Pho (Phorilla.com)
Nick Barat (Fader)
