About Me

Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own! Growing up in High Point, North Carolina, Lauren became involved in the performing arts at the age of three when she participated in her first stage production of The Nutcracker. As a member of High Point Ballet, she studied ballet, jazz, tap, modern and theatre performance for more than twelve years. She was privileged to have been a student of noted dancer and award-winning choreographer, Gary Taylor. Lauren attributes much of her love of all musical genres to the many years she spent performing Gary's original pieces set to everything from classical music, jazz, and Broadway tunes to the contemporary songs of Prince, The Beatles and Madonna. At the age of thirteen, Lauren began taking vocal lessons and singing became her passion. She began to sing in local venues and participate in NATS while studying voice under renowned vocalist Dr. Alexa Schlimmer, whose love and encouragement inspired her to follow her dream. After a year of college as a Theatre Arts/Music major at High Point University, the desire to write and sing pop/rock music led Lauren, through a series of fateful meetings, to Wall Music Group in Leipers Fork, Tennessee. As a Grammy-nominated producer, Wm. F. (Freddy) Wall began his career playing session guitar in the famous New Orleans' Sea-Saint Studio and from there, spent many years performing and traveling with the likes of Allen Toussaint and British sensation Robert Palmer. In the summer of 2005, Lauren began her writing collaboration with Freddy and local artists Chris Fewell and Rob Robinson. Together they wrote 6 original pop/rock songs, which were tracked at Dark Horse Recording (www.DarkHorseRecording.com), and produced, arranged, edited and mixed by Freddy at Wall Music Studio. Lauren moved to Nashville in the spring of 2007 to complete her first CD, and her final 7 songs are currently in production. Keep checking back for updates and new music coming soon.............
