About Me

... WE'd REALLY LIKE A DOUBLE BASSIST BUT PLEASE CONTACT US VIA MYSPACE regardless!!! Update: we dont need one now, everyone's got too many fucking instruments in a band these days so we're gonna play how we busk for now. If this doesn't please there are over 50,000-0 other bands with pro-forma set-ups being promoted by this small intimate community they call My Space so one of them may take your fancy. We play:Fresh little fugues* of busked out rhythms, busked out lyrics, busking out regularly in London and the South East. Stop fondling your own breasts in front of the monitor and get out and see us play! Keep music live. If not, keep listening on the little speakers and enjoy! Cheers, The Local Wildlife *Fugue "1. Music: An imitative polyphonic composition in which a theme or themes are stated successively in all of the voices of the contrapuntal structure. 2. Psychiatry: A pathological amnesiac condition during which one is apparently conscious of one's actions but has no recollection of them after returning to a normal state. This condition, usually resulting from severe mental stress, may persist for as long as several months."

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Lenny Usselman (lead vocals, songwriter, melodica, frog croak percussion n ting), Mark Brown (slide and pickin guitar, b.v.s), Lucy O' Driscoll (rythm and pickin guitar, b.v.s)
Influences: ...the many types of dead wood and wounds found on living trees, including heart rot, rot holes, sap runs and decaying roots in music; the use of pure reed instrumentation of the mind but of the grass variety. This strain of local wildlife live in Leigh on Sea in the south east of England where they are influenced by the tidal action of the Thames Estuary and drink. They try listening to the radio but, owing to a sporadic reception in the area, frequently find themselves poised on the junction between two frequencies. For this reason, their exposure to contemporary music is confused and the resulting output is a mixed-up, mashed-up, calamitous influence of ska, reggae, folk, punk and urban.
Sounds Like: sounds worth repeating.
Type of Label: Major
