The band formed in september 2006, crafting and honing their sound in the now famous (its not really) Studio B at Ravensbourne. After about a month of jamming the songs that Jim had written while in the box room of his student house the band were ready to play their first gig, a charity boxing night. Now to most bands playing at a charity boxing night may be the oddest gig they will ever play, but not Ambervision, the next gig was a charity bowling night. This gig will probably be the weirdest and most stressful gig the band will ever play, and resulted in Ian and Jim falling asleep in the back of a ford transit van on Tony's drum kit. Since these two very bizarre gigs the band have gone from strength to strength supporting the likes of Mike Joyce (The Smiths) Bonehead (Oasis) and the legend that is BEZ (Happy Mondays). Subsequent gigs have also seen the band befriend tramps in Camden.
So far this year the band have recorded an albums worth of material, and have released their first EP through Harmonic Generation Recordings(AVAILABLE NOW!!) and are looking to tour throughout the summer.
In the short time they have been gigging Ambervison have amassed a loyal army of fans who at the drop of a hat will scream back the words of 'Wasting Time.' They are without doubt a must see band.
