When I was a kid I would watch Star Trek, Godzilla and Dr. Shock (r.i.p.). The "Doctor" loyally every Saturday and peretty much any horror movie I could find on tv. My mother was scared to death of horror movies, she hated me watching them, and being the proud little rebel i was... well, it only fed the fire. I would watch them just to see: A) To figure out who would die first, and how much blood would be shed, where they where coming from, who left the most blood on thier boots ,the trail...etc.; and/or, B) get my mother freaked out; have her leave the room to silently scream between her fingers, fingers that casually covered her lips (I love her and allways will... but "with an evil grin") from the "shock" of what had just happened. It was the reaction, the atmosphere, the electrictiy that was left in the air by the pure anamosity of the W.T.F. was going on; its not human, its not feasable, Its not christian--lol. And that made me fall in love with horror movies, I liked being scared, plus I like seeing other people be scared; aka... their reactions to the movies: would they freak out and leave the room, would they shreek out loud, would they cover their eyes and ask "is it over yet", or... PLEASE--suprise me. So i guess you could say my roots in horror movies are pretty deep.
