Jonathan "J MacArthur" Rice was born in Henderson, North Carolina. There, his parents Pastor Seamon and Brenda Rice nurtured him to become a man of purpose and destiny. Jonathan grew up singing. If there was a place to sing, he was there. He has sang in numerous of choirs. His participation in different choirs have allowed him to travel to Canada, New York and more. Jonathan is also a songwriter. The Lord has now given him the opportunity to write for psalmist and more. He is now and officially a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College. Jonathan attend Divinty School. When he is not in Rock City, he serves as the Praise and Worship Leader at New Covenant Faith Ministries where his Father is the Founder and Pastor. When he is not in church or singing he enjoys hanging with friends and family. He does not mind laughing, "a little cut up is good every now and then". One of his favorite scripture is "Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know that thoughts that I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end." This to him says; "If I lean toward the thoughts of men, my end will be destruction. But if I lean toward the thoughts of God my end has not other choice but to be the best!"
