About Me

Never in a million years would I have believed my life would be what it is now....After graduating at El Reno High School, I got an associates degree in Occupational Therapy, and bachelor's degree in Human Movement and Health. In 2000, I moved to Denver, Colorado. Since then my life has been one that fairy tales are made of. I feel so blessed. I got a wonderful job at an awesome law firm and made some lifetime friends, and discovered a new "me". I met my husband the weekend I moved out here to Denver, and we were married a year later.A week before I finished my degree, my husband and I bought a gallery downtown Denver (www.oldmapgallery.com). We are a wonderful team and have had a great time, building our business. We sell antique maps and prints and get to travel a lot to obtain material. These past few years have saw us in Rome, Paris, and London twice. We also have got to travel pretty extensively in the US also. I love traveling and I loved working at the gallery. In Februray of 2005, I yet again took on a new role, being a mom. Micah William Bird was born on 2/17/05 and our life hasn't been the same since. He is our little miracle and we feel lucky to have him. Since having Micah, I stay at home with him but we go down to the gallery "to help" occasionally. Between owning the gallery and raising Micah, we don't find much extra time for hobbies, but our favorite pasttime is spending Sunday afternoons in Boulder.Although I miss my family in Oklahoma, I love living in Denver. It is such a beautiful place to live and the weather is always great. If I had to sum up my life up to this point in one word, that word would be.... complete. I often feel like I'm living a dream and am grateful to God for the life I've been given. I don't think I could have dreamed up something this good on my own!!!
