i'm a 42 y/OLD, div'd dad w/2 great kids, 8&5. live in bastrop, work in west monroe. i try to lead a balanced life.my kids are terrific. trey is a budding rock star who's been playing the drums, full set, for about 4 years now...no joke. i'm helping him gain an appreciation for real music, so he's cutting his teeth on boston, aerosmith, rush, queen, heart and the like..he just recently discovered van halen, how cool is that?. now i have to listen to "jump" 100 times a day!! yea!!mae is very special. she's 5 and has been diagnosed w/angelman syndrome [http://www.angelman.org/angel/]. she's making great progress thanks to her therapists and teachers in the morehouse school system and at oak hill elementary [http://morehouse.nls.k12.la.us/oakhill/photos.htm]. she laughs and smiles most all of the time, which is an inspiration.i have a great family that is very supportive and helps tremendously w/the kids. couldn't make it w/o them and wouldn't want to.as i said, i am div'd after about 13 years. my ex and i actually have a good relationship. we have a unique ability to put our problems aside and concentrate on what's best for our kids.

My Interests

playing w/kids, movies, reading, music, yard work...mine, i don't hire out.

I'd like to meet:

i guess i'd like to find someone who is understanding, forgiving (cause i'm stupid sometimes), tolerant (see previous statement), good sense of humor (ditto), fun, intelligent, challenging (in all areas), caring who loves kids, doesn't smoke (much)and doesn't have alot of pets...sorry smokers and pet owners...we have allergies.'course this is the ideal woman. it's getting to the point now where someone who has a strong pulse, most of their teeth and the ability to form a sentence using at least 3 words will be considered.................................................. .........ok, after reading everybody else's response to this, i see that i may have misunderstood the question...who i'd like to meet...hmmm only 3 people come to mind. 1.) salma hayek; 2.) salma hayek and 3.) salma hayek's slightly less attractive sister (if she has one)

Music:

i primarily listen to classic rock, but will occassionally tolerate other styles. favorite group: Boston

Movies:

anything done well. mostly action/adventure. have been known to enjoy a good horror movie. i've even sat through my share of chic flicks...but only w/the right person. favorite movies: 300, transformers, 13th warrior; lock, stock, and 2 smoking barrells; waking ned devine; in addition to ratatoulie, "the incredibles"; "finding nemo"; "monster's inc."; and "chicken little"; "cars" and "monster house" (got kids, what can i say!)

Television:

spongebob, jimmy neutron, fairly odd parents, ed, edd, and eddie...(kids); also, vh1 classic, all the csi's, survivor -ozzy, james and amanda are my top 3 this year; american idol - this year i like david c, carley, brooke, michael, and jason. in that order. we'll see.

Books:

anything by james patterson, john grisham, or vince flynn

Heroes:

patrick star; seriously tho'. my kids: trey for being the person i hope to become and mae for always trying to overcome that which should be holding her down.
