Burden A.D.
In late 1990s in Lahti, Finland, a band spawned by a few local guys was coming into being. After a period of practising the guys realized that they already possessed songs of their own and suitably angry thought patterns to back them up.
A thrash-based mix of various genres turned out to work well and the band was named Burden. Later A.D. (Anno Domini) was added to the name as it better described the band’s thinking.
The first demo was recorded in the band’s own training room in 2000. The next demo Resist was made in a professional studio in 2003. The last two Salvation (2004) and Promotor (2006) were made in a friend's rehearsal room. Salvation was selected Metal Hammer's demo of the month (01/2005). After this, due to some changes in the crew the band activities slowed down for a while until new musicians and still some new musicians came along and thus the band continues to thrive.
Finally debut album Anno Dominator was released in 2008 (Violent Journey Records). Since the release of the debut album there has been again some changes in the crew but today Burden A.D. is stronger than ever and ready to kick any ass!
Burden A.D. made their first big festival gig abroad in August 2008 playing in MHM Fest in Ukraine. In November 2008 band made mini-tour in Latvia, playing three gigs there. In May 2009 another mini-tour was made, the band played total of four gigs in Estonia and Latvia. More touring is planned in Baltics, Russia and Europe. Also, new album is planned for 2010 if everything goes as planned. Stay brutal!
