12MAR continues to persist in a figurative, yet lyrical, approach to music that eschewed pure abstraction but revelled in the possibilities that exist in todays colourful society. 12MARs thematic repertoire can be seen as limited, relying heavily on imagery established in his native North West London, but 12MAR uses simple, often childlike, recurrent themes as a means of tapping a spiritual reality underneath the mundane reality of everyday life.
