Arkansas Whitetails

Hi! My name is Chris and Ive always loved the outdoors and exploring new places. Ive been a bowhunter since the 80s and deer have always been my favorite to go after. Ive also spent alot of summer evenings watching them over the years. A little over a year ago I bought a camera to take along. Now after walking at least 350 miles, Mt biking, ticks, mosquitos, heat/humidity, cold and snakes(more this spring than ive ever seen). these are some of the pics I have gotten. Im no pro photographer and I learn something new every time out, I go every weekend, either by Mt.bike or walking and get new ones. My favorites are the deer but they are also the toughest to get. I set up just like bowhunting from the ground along their travel routes. The old Does are very hard to fool and when you get a herd 5-10 yds away its nearly impossible to go undetected from the ground, Other days I just walk 4-5 miles and take pics of whatever I come across, anyways its been great fun! Im eagerly awaiting the new fawns and the velvet antlers on the bucks and I will be set up every weekend on deer thru November. I try to add new ones every week but mostly use my Flickr page, Im also putting together my own website in a few weeks. I plan on writing a photoblog on there every week about what I saw and how I got the pics with it. Hope you enjoy them.
