"I can't do or be anything without God" is the motto that this new and upcoming vocalist lives by. Colin Ivan Osborn, born November 9, 1979 is beginning a new chapter in life by attempting to follow a life long dream. This New Britain, Connecticut native began his musical experience at the age of 3 singing in the Sunbeam Choir at St. James Baptist Church in his hometown. As a student, Colin excelled in his musical studies, receiving numerous awards for his musical achievements in choral and instrumental studies.
As a soloist, Colin did have problems with being shy. Colin always felt like he couldn't step out and do what he knew he could do because of people. In church Colin would be scared to sing because of what he thought people would say and think of him. As Colin got older, he began to understand who God was and who he was in Colin. It didn't matter what people thought anymore.
Colin has performed with numerous local groups and choirs. He sang background for Gospel recording artist, Norman Thomas for 4 years. In addition, Colin has performed on televised programs with Gospel artists such as Kirk Carr, Beverly Crawford, Daryl Coley, Donnie McClurkin, Lorraine Stancil, Lecresia Campbell and Melonie Daniels. Colin has also served as director/leader of numerous choirs and praise teams. Colin has blessed the hearts of many with his intuitive style of worship where he totally goes against tradition and attempts to bring the people into an authentic place of worship. Many people have been set free from the circumstances of life through the musical gift that Colin Ivan Osborn brings. "I sing not because I want fame, I sing because I realize that the gift God gave me was never for me but for those who are in need...I sing to serve and benefit the people".
