For Immediate Release:Festivus: The Open Air Dance Celebration Continues
Central Park, NY July 14, 2007New York, NY Electronic Music Umbrella (EMU) presents its 5th installment of
Festivus, a free outdoor electronic music celebration. The event will be held on
Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 3pm to 8pm on the Great Hill in Central Park. Hosting
its second year at Central Park and its fifth annual installment to date, this show is
appropriately named Odyssey for its successful revolutionary journey. DJs Hector
Romero, Exacta, and Alex Pearce, (with more to be announced) are volunteering their
time and talents to celebrate Festivus.Electronic Music Umbrella (EMU) is an urban grassroots consortium dedicated to
promoting publicly performed electronic music as an art form. The non-profit
organization’s mission is to create spaces for electronic music fans to enjoy dancing in
the daylight. They understand electronic music is the music that speaks in the frequency
of our soul. EMU is an official 501c3 charitable organization where all coordinators and
supporters volunteer their time and resources.EMU has hosted numerous successful events over the past four years, each of which
have been free and open to the public of all ages. Previous events have been held at
Battery Park, and most recently, Central Park in 2006. Last year’s line up included
