About Me

"Im ahead of my time like back to the future, listen close cause im hip hop's future." Yuung TTyequan Harrison, also known as Yuung T, is a young artist coming out of Asheville, North Carolina. Born September 17, 1987, he was destined to be a star since birth. Coming from a long family line of entertainers, he fell in love with music at a very young age. His grandmother Margret Harrison, along with his great aunts had a well known local girl group back in the 60's and 70's. "I've been in love with music since i can remember. It was my key to getting away from everything else going on around me. I'd turn my music on and i went into my own world." says the young artist, " I uese to copy lyrics from rappers and when my moms use to find them and see the curse words, I would get a whoopin. " At age 8, he moved to a local neighborhood called Shiloh, where he met two brothers, Warren aka Qwauz and Darren Wells. All three boys shared the smae passion for music. " When i first met Warren and Darren, we clicked from the start, I looked at them as like my brothers. We use to sit on the front porch and and rap all day." By age 9, Yuung T wrote his first 16 bar verse. The boys had dreams of being famous at a young age. They would often talk about owning their own record label and clothing line, which at the time was big dreams for ten year olds. " We knew we had the talent, we jus didn't have the money" At age 12 Qwauz's older brother Rob, brought a $300 beat machine for the boys. " We fell in love with it from the first, but Darren really got good wit it. we use to sit in the house hours on end making beats and rappin" says Yuung T. At 14, Yuung T moved from Shiloh, and fell out of contact wit Qwauz and Darren. " I moved to the other side of town and it was like we went from talkin everyday, to like twice a week. Then it got to the point where we only talked when we seen each other and that wasn't very often " Also at the age of 14 is when the young artist learned to huslte. "I knew what crack was cause i use to watch my boys sell it, i seen it cooked, but i didn't know the amount of money you could make and how fast you could make it. Once i learned the numbers, thats when i was drawn into the game" says Yuung T. "At 17 i caught my first drug charge, I didnt show up for court, and went on run for about 6 months." During those 6 months is when the artist started taking his music seriously. "One day i was in school freestylin at lunch, one of my classmates heard me and said that he had some friends that could rap and had a studio. Seein this as a chance to be heard, i went to check it out. When I first showed up i didn't belive it was a studio because it was in a trailer park, but when i walked in i knew what it was. the owner was a guy by the name of Marquis White aka J Gunna. He had a a group called Street Team, which consisted of himself, Ryan Treadway aka Stick T, and Brad Haron aka Big Emage. When i walkes in they introduced me to everybody and then J Gunna told me to spit, after bout two bars he said stop, welcome to the street team." Stick T, who Yuung T clicked with the most, was also a childhood friend of Warren and Darren. "When i found out that Stick T and Qwauz was friends too i already knew it was meant for this to happen." Shortly after joing the Street Team Yuung T quit school and was incarcerated for 2 and a half months. "I knew i couldn't stay on the run forever, but i wasn't expectin to get causght at that time, but thats how shit goes. While locked up i still kept writing my music even though i couldn't record it, i wrote like 36 songs and before i was released. Once i got out i recorded my first official song, "Who Want It". It was crazy to hear my voice out there, i was lovin it!" Not only was he lovin it, but his city was too!!! "I had local rappers that i looked up to tellin me that i was doin it. Thats when i realized that i could make it in this rap game, they boosted my determination to make it." The young artist recorded several more hit singles including, Kokaine Flow featuring Stick T, Dat Gangsta Shit featuring Nature Boi Shawn Smarts and World So Cold featuring Bank$. Now with equipt with the focus and determination to get a major record deal, Yuung T is coming full throttle at the game!!! "The only thing thats gonna stop me from this game lord forbid is the casket!!!!!!!!!!!"IM HERE NOW TO MAKE A MARK ON THIS INDUSTRY AND PUT MY PLACE IN ITS HISTORY. SO GET READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Cell Number -(704)785-6092 or (828)216-6918E-Mail - [email protected]
