The secret to his success is his passion for making the crowd move to his beat. While others are in the game for notoriety, Boogie is in it for the crowds reaction, the satisfaction of looking out at an audience where the heads are bopping. Boogie was born and raised in Pompano Beach Florida; from an early age he found himself passionate about beat driven music. At age nine he was given a Hifi with a turntable; within a month he was DJing his parents parties; playing old-school hiphop and funk. He was soon DJing house parties, and by his late teens, he began working in clubs all around South Florida; spinning everything from funk to reggae, to electroclash and rock and of course hip-hop. Over the course of his ten year professional DJing career, he has spun at some of the most important clubs in South Florida, and has been flown all over the east coast and as far away as Puerto Rico and the Cayman Islands to DJ clubs and events, always leaving an impression. He has extended his love of hip-hop into production work and has honed his unique eclectic production style and hip-hop voice, lending his talents to many South Florida artists. He has expanded his involvement in hip-hop to promoting and producing hip-hop shows bringing major artists to Broward and Palm Beach counties. To Boogie all his pursuits are all about the same thing; be it producing, DJing, promoting shows or MCing; its about the response from the crowd. To Boogie Waters, music is life, passion and purpose.
