Cloaking Device

About Me

Cloaking Device (formerly a co-pilot on the infamous Odysee Recordings with Tilla Kemal (T-Mirage)) has been producing Drum & Bass since the mid 90's. His first release 'The Broken Veil/Heaven Suite' ODY007) which featured the exotic vocals of legendary Turkish singer Ibrahim Tatlisez, was the final release on the Odysee imprint- a label well known for its quality Intelligent D&B, and also the label that launched the Source Direct duo. Since then Cloaking device has continued to work, both as a solo artist and with others, particularly Invincible (Blacklight Productions). The ethos behind the new Curcuit Breaker imprint is to have the same depth, quality and attention to detail that was the Odysee trademark, but at the same time to move fowards into more electronic pulse-driven areas of the scene. Already Cloaking Device has began to develop a specific trademark sound that is very different to earlier tracks such as Entity (ODYdub008) or Gangster Player (ODYdub009). ''There is so much scope in the D&B sound- from Liquid to Hardstep. You can be musical, futuristic, dark and ill all at the same time if you so choose! I want to make music that has pure dancefloor drive, but that also stands the test of time due to the little details that bear closer scrutiny- after all Art Lies In The Detail!''''
