“SPOADY†Bio
“The Bottom†as it has been affectionately dubbed by the hip-hop world, is all about the pride, the culture, and the experience of the South. As time has ushered in a new age “The Millenniumâ€, it also ordained southern hip-hop, in-particular, that of Miami, as one of its most fertile breeding grounds for yielding crops of prolific musical artists. The likes of the legendary trailblazers Two Live Crew, JT Money, Luther Campbell, or the more recent southern rap Icons such as Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, the Queen “Jackie-Oâ€, the Diamond Princess Trina, and Super Producers Cool & Dre, are just a few among many Miami artists who flip a mellifluous vernacular and drawl when articulating some of the most colorful stories about growing up in the south. No matter how edgy or boastful the tales, they are necessary for depicting the Dirty South while broadening and redefining the musical experience for the listener.
Adding his chameleon-like style to the Sunshine State's field of offerings is South Florida’s-born and bred Yung “SPOADYâ€. After grinding in the streets and doing what he had to do to maintain, this Dirty South MC is poised to break topsoil and emerge fully-grown into hip-hop culture's mainstream as Miami's next big hip-hop star.Yung Spoady aka (Paul Facyson’s) hood story begins on the streets of 19th and 40th Ave a tough 'hood called the “No Names†in the heart Shallowside. Spoady laughs as he states that his fair share of trouble ranged from fighting in school to various run-ins with the law. This subsequently led to several arrests which resulted in a short stint in jail complements of Broward County. "First and foremost, my influence was growing up in the streets of Miami and Lauderdale," he says. ''I knew I had to find a way out of that life I was living, and I knew music would take me there."
Extremely passionate and determined to make a better life for himself and his family, Spoady says “I'm not scared of anything so I never back down." “I stay on my grind hustling in this music game to get what’s mine.†I’m determined, motivated, and dedicated in showing the world that I AM A STAR. I’m not waiting for an opportunity; I’m going to create my own opportunities on my on terms by being committed to the game.
It is this same drive, and commitment that allowed the door of opportunity to be opened one day after meeting X1 and Valentino, a Production duo aka NuSouth Hitmasters. To date X1 and Valentino have produced and worked with some of the music industry’s top artists, most notably Timbaland (Interscope), Trick Daddy (Atlantic), Trina (Atlantic), Rick Ross (Def Jam/Universal), Tamia (Elektra), Paula DeAnada (J Records), KiKi Sheard (EMI), and a host of others.
While recording at the Vault Studios in Miami the young 21-year-old rapper happened to be booked for a session in Studio B, while X1 and Valentino were in a mix session in Studio A, with Multi-Platinum mix engineer “Ray Seay†(T.I., Young Buck, Cash Money, Lil Jon, etc.) X1 recalls “We were taking a break giving our ears a rest for a quick second, and decided to play a game or two of pool when we heard playback coming from studio B.†I immediately looked at Tino and said “damn†do you hear that!†“We were both vibing to what this guy had just laid down. Instantaneously we both knew that we were going to work with him. Valentino recalls “This kid just had a Swagga†about him that was absolutely ridiculous.†He had everyone in that joint bouncing!
After officially linking up with the NuSouth Hitmasters production tandem, Yung Spoady is now well on his way. “We’ve been cranking out nothing but Hood Anthems and mainstream Singles†says Spoady. I don’t think we have any album fillers.†X1 and Valentino rave that “This guy is an extremely talented rapper, writer and rap-singer.†“It’s unbelievable how easily he comes up with concepts, hooks, melodies, and relevant lyrical content.â€
Spoady is a future celebrity already on the rise. His infectious lyrical cadence, and melodically contagious hooks will have “e'rybody and dey grandmamma chanting†his hood anthem(s). He states that quote "I’m committed to making music so da young, the old, the hood and mainstream can all feel because it’s real.†It is due to this commitment to the hip-hop culture and Spoady’s sincerity that he has already made a name for himself. Dispensing with the gimmicky facades, hype and hoaxes, he has earned the respect of his local following, fans and peers because he’s an artist who reveals himself wholly and holds it down for the streets.
Spoady's personal appeal and ability to reach a listener is a part of his whole package: a package that includes, most importantly, his unique rap cadence and blended singing style. His life experiences delivered through poignant verses makes his points crystal clear and penetrable to his listeners. His distinctive voice and uncanny ability to shape his flow has him primed to garner attention amidst the forefront of a new power generation of Dirty South rap artists who are pushing the limits of main-stream hip-hop music.Genuine and honest, Spoady's music is a step in the right direction as he continues to bring the plight, cries of poverty and violence of the ghetto to the forefront of mainstream society.Prepare!!
