I just wanted to let everyone know that Goblin’s demo “Sewn Together…Torn Apart†has been officially released by Matthias Weigand and Ecocentric Records (Germany). For most of you, this will be the first chance you will get to hear this recording in its entirety, due to the fact that this demo wasn’t really circulated by the band because I, Sam Biles, basically “got excited†about our second full-length release (“Born to Darkness†LP) that ended up never making it to release. So, in effect, this demo, which has become a kind of “cult classickâ€, got “side-stepped†until now. Beware!
This release has new artwork via a true warrior of the underground Seanocide (CTHUWULF), and I have to say, he has really outdone himself on this shit, it is very fitting for the depravity and honesty contained within. Also, as well as the tracks included on the original self-released demo, this release will include a variety of out-takes, unreleased tracks and demos.

HISTORY OF HORROR
Goblin was born in the summer of '97. When I (Sam Biles) and my good friend, and very talented guitarist Gary Zywicki started getting together and working on songs for a possible "pretend live" album/demo for fun. My other band "Hideous Mangleus"had recently finished up our first full length CD in our, at that time, 8 yr. history in the underground. It was time for a break. (Which will soon be silenced, but that is another story. Info at www.hideousmangleus.com ). So the opportunity was there, and we took it. After abandoning our "pretend live" cover song idea, hehe, because our originals were sounding very promising. We kinda just wrote a bunch of parts. And slowly but surely started piecing together songs. We didn't really have any "project"/demo/CD in mind. We just wrote for the love of writing. FOR THE LOVE OF METAL!!! Although, our music isn't exactly "Metal". Our heart is every bit as metal as Accept's ever was. We've taken our childhood/adult passion for heavy music (Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Frost, Stench, etc, etc) and decided to try our hand at writing the best "Metal" we can. Our sound may be a bit "abrasive" to "the Metal purist" due to our low tuning, and "Yeti with his nuts in a bear trap" vokills. But, O'well, this is an Underground band, what can we say. We've taken the heaviness of songs of Old, like "God of Thunder." And combined it with the unbridled fury of underground music (DeathMetal, Grind, Crust, Doom, etc) like so many others before us. But, we assure you this is not just another UnderGround band. "Killing is our Business...and Business is Good." We are here to make the heaviest shit you've ever heard! That is our commitment to you the UG fan!!! The demo is out, that is the first step in what we hope will be a force to be reckoned with in the underground.
Goblin is currently on indefinate hiatus, but we will keep you updated!!!
(Note: I apologize to those of you that viewed this site under the impression this was the Italian band Goblin. When we started this band I was under the impression their name was "The Goblins" (the way they were labeled in Suspiria). No disrespect intended.)
