About Me

After listening to the opening track of "Wake Up For The Shake Down," you might get the impression that Michael James Anderson is trying NOT to be heard. The album, MJA's first as a solo artist, contains twelve tracks full of whisper sung vocals and stories of alcohol fueled nights followed by mornings of repent. Overall, seeds of hope are planted throughout the mix, and life goes on. For the past eleven years, CT's "Flu" has been the main musical outlet for MJA, being one of it's founders in 1998. Playing out consistently for the past ten plus years paid off when Flu went on to win Best Hard Rock Band for 2007 in the Hartford Advocate's Grand Band Slam. "Longevity is key," says Mike about being in a band or playing solo. "You can rise and you can fall, but as long as you continue, then there's no stopping you."
"Flu" song "Sensitive Guy on Roller Skates" is the theme song to Season 1 of "Marv's Psychic Shop" (also check out "A Templar's Lament" (by Flu) featured in this episode). Watch the full season at http://black20.com/marvs-psychic-shop
