About Me
My name is Forrest, Forrest Gump and in come from Greenbow Alabama. I was born with a crooked spine, forcing me to walk with the aid of leg braces from a young age. I had a low I.Q. which should have necessitated special education, but my mother arranged for me to be enrolled in public school with the school's principal. My stilted, jerky walk, caused by the leg braces, inspired a young Elvis Presley who was lodging at My boarding house with my distinctive dance style. On My first day on the school bus, I meet Jenny. Her father sexually abused her.I am frequently taunted by my disability, until one day when I broke my braces and I ran unassisted while escaping bullies. Thats when I discovered that I can run like the wind blows.Years later, while again running away from bullies, I ran through a football field where a practice was taking place. I rememeber outpacing the players and I got signed up for the team. My running ability brings me great success with the football team of the University of Alabama. I was playing for the legendary Paul Bryant.About this time I was spotted on television behind Governor George Wallace on June 11, 1963, during the "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door". Gov. Wallace was standing in front of Foster Auditorium, protesting desegregation of the University.I got through college on a football scholarship and I receiveD a college degree in five years. I Still am Jennys friend, although she attended a separate, all-girls' college. On My graduation day I was approached by an Army recruiter and I signed up for the Army. I fitted right into the army like one of them round pegs and I was top of the class in boot camp. A fellow soldier tosses Me a Playboy one night and says to me, "get a load'a her." I turns the page and recognizes the girl on this page as none other than Jenny. Her picture in the magazine gets her expelled from college. She gets a job at a stripclub where she plays guitar nude.I visited her and witnesses some men tryin' to grab her. I beat them and tries to rescue Jenny, causing her to be fired. When they later reminisce about old times, Jenny recalls when they hid from her father in the cornfield and she prayed to God to turn her into a bird. She asks Me, Do you think I could fly if I jumped off this bridge? This worries Me, and Jenny dismisses the whole thought and hitches a ride in a passing pickup truck. I told her that I was being sent to Vietnam, and she advises me not to be brave. She tells Me just to run if he is ever in trouble. While I was serving with the US Army in the Vietnam War under Lieutenant Dan , I carrieD wounded members of his platoon to safety during an ambush by the Viet Cong, earning him the Medal of Honor. During this rescue, mY commander, Lieutenant Dan loses his legs, causing Dan to wallow in a depression; and his army buddy Benjamin Buford "Bubba" Blue is fatally wounded and dies in My arms. He was my best friend. While I recovers from a wound in my buttocks that I sustained during the rescue, I became such an expert in playing ping-pong, that I goes to play in People's Republic of China during the Ping Pong Diplomacy period. While staying in Washington to receive my medal for the rescue, I meet Jenny again, who had by the time looked like she was a hippy. I became a national hero playing ping-pong and I was offered $25,000 to endorse a certain brand of ping-pong paddles.I appeared on The Dick Cavett Show with John Lennon. As I recalls his experiences in Communist China, he gives Lennon the idea for his song Imagine. Lennon remarks "No possessions?" and then "And no religion too?" which he uses in his song. Dick Cavett then remarks "Hard to imagine", to which Lennon replies "It's easy if you try, Dick."Upon visiting President Nixon after My visit to China, I was invited by the President to stay in Washington at the Watergate complex. My sleep was disturbed when I witness flashlights in the offices opposite my room. I called the security office to notify the maintenance crew, thus inadvertently beginning the Watergate scandal. After My service term ended, I returned home with the $25,000 from the Ping-Pong paddle endorsement. After buying some things for my mother and myself, I used the balance of $24,562.47 to buy my own shrimping boat—the Jenny, after My "girlfriend"—and started a shrimp business, keeping a promise to Bubba. Lieutenant Dan joined me in his business venture, the "Bubba Gump Shrimp Corporation". The business was initially unsuccessful, until I happen to be out of port during Hurricane Carmen. Returning to port, they find that all the other fishing boats in the area have been destroyed by the storm, giving us an instant monopoly in the shrimp market and thus making Me a very wealthy man. In addition, My financial advisor (Lieutenant Dan) has me purchase shares of Apple Computer before the company's rise to fame, making Me even wealthierI gave a portion of his fortune to Bubba's mother, as well as a church and a medical centre. After My mother dies I returned to my childhood home. Jenny meets up again with me having been through the worst of pits and troughs in life and lives with me for a while. She then leaves after I asked her to marry Me—after We sleep together. After her departure, I began to run across the country. I ran from one coast to the other, and then turned around, continuously running for three years, two months, fourteen days, and sixteen hours, thus inspiring the running movement. Sometime after this Jenny sends me a letter, asking me to visit her.I showed the letter to the lady with whom I had been speaking at the bus stop. She tells me that the address of Jenny's house is only "five or six blocks" down Henry Street. I was reunited with Jenny and her young son. Jenny tells Me that the boy is named Forrest, after his father. Jenny also tells Me she is suffering from an unknown virus, the symptoms of which sound indicative of AIDS.Jenny and Forrest Jr. moved in with Me in Greenbow, and Jenny and Me were finally married. Lieutenant Dan, who has a fiancée and has artificial legs to replaced those lost in the war, attend the wedding.Jenny finally dies on a Saturday morning, March 22, 1982 in fact that date is Monday, making Me the only parent to little Forrest , a bright child who attended school.I ordered the house that Jenny grew up in to be torn down, as it had reminded her of her abusive father. Jenny's death causes Me to question the nature of life when I asked the question I don't know if Mama was right or whether it was Lieutenant Dan. I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around on a breeze accidental-like; but maybe it's a little of both. That is what has happened to me up to this day.I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these a href="http://www.freeweblayouts.net"
