I own and run Valeo Films Inc. myspace.com/valeofilmsinc a full service film and video production company. One of my passions is technical scuba diving. So it was a no-brainier for me to shift the primary focus of my production company to underwater production. So... in late 2005 I launched a new division of my company: Undersea Expeditionary Video . We now offer turnkey production services for deep sea and cave expeditions.
Since i began scuba diving in the early nineties, i have always been fascinated the the larger creatures of the ocean. Among those creatures that amazed me was the shark, but these days I see less and less of them. This prompted me to become involved in making people aware of the negative impact we are having on our oceans, specifically to our shark populations. In this endeavor, i have become involved with scientists, researchers, and conservation groups all of which work hard to educate, inform and protect our precious sharks.
Shark Savers was founded in 2007 by a group of divers who care deeply about the environment and the oceans and sharks in particular. Shark Savers is a grass roots movement founded to enable people to make a difference to save the sharks, and the community for people to find each other and magnify their efforts.
Several leading shark researchers, scientists, enthusiasts and conservationists are creating a movement to make 2009 the year of the shark in an effort to raise awareness and educate diver and non divers alike.
I'll post more about my work with The Shark Group, Ecocean, Shark Savers, and The Marine Mega Net later, but i recently returned from a three week stint with Steve Fox of Deep Blue Utila Resort on the island of Utila to shoot and dive with researchers from around the world as they dived with Whale Sharks and educated eco-tourists about the condition of the oceans and the sharks in it. Much more on this to come later..!!!!
I'm also a dive team member and underwater cameraman in Dan Crowells: WWII Underwater and KPI's four part special series for the Military Channel series called Quest For Sunken Warships . In the four part special series, originally titled "Sea Battles," we take viewers through some of the most amazing shipwrecks in the world while telling the stories of the battles that sunk them from a scuba divers perspective. Our focus is to help shed light on some of the most amazing conflicts fought on the ocean's battlefields.

I'm pretty excited about production on my latest documentary project about an expedition I was on to the famous civil war ironcald, USS Monitor. I just returned from the Outer Banks of North Carolina participating in this years expedition. Along with wood samples for NOAA, i came back with hours of HD footage for my documentary about expedition diving.
Also just finishing up the first episode of a new DVD dive series called Just-A-Bit About . The first in the series is about Diving Florida's Caves.
Recently my photographs have been posted on Dive Rite's web site. www.DiveRite.com and i produced a extremely successful advertising photo shoot for Gates Underwater.
For the last year, I've been looking for locations to get an advertising still for Gates Underwater Products. After diving around the Outer Banks this summer, I realized i had found my location and my subjects. I took a trip to Hatteras with accomplished underwater photographer Will Allen www.willallenphoto.com to get a photograph of me nose to nose with a 10 foot Sand Tiger shark. This is what we came back with!!
