One of my favorite things in life is friends, music, and dance, preferably all together in one place... preferably on a brooklyn rooftop on a summer night... I can be known in any number of circles as B, Bashirah, Bethy, Elizabeth, Aliza, or Most Bef, maybe you already know me as one of these. I am originally from detroitsouthfieldann arborpontiac (michigan) and BROOKLYN, NY has been my home for the past 10 years. I am a bellydancer and have been studying Middle Eastern dance for 7 years. I also play middle eastern percussion, doumbek and riq. I have so much love for music! I grew up being a total hip-hop head, house-head, club kid, but after i moved to new york and got into Middle Eastern & North African music, forget about it, i'm an addict! One thing i've learned in life, the more you learn, the more there is to learn! Music has opened my eyes to the rest of the world, world music, and now its just endless! I have traveled to the middle east many times and performed music on stages in egypt, amaaaazzzing... I love New York, i have friends here from all over the world... I wish i had more time to travel the world. Morocco is one of my most favorite places...As my day job, i am a retoucher in an advertising agency.
