Beginning as a free Thursday club night in the basement of cult London venue The Southside Bar, never before has a promotion achieved so much in such a short space of time. Addiction has hosted some of the countries’ biggest DJ’s and producers and has developed a reputation, which is simply unparalleled across the clubbing scene at present. The birth of Addiction Digital, an entirely online-based MP3 record label, will further enhance Addiction’s reputation as being a true innovator.Our mission is simple. At present, the hard trance scene has become inundated with bootlegs, remixes and covers, meaning original tracks are becoming harder and harder to come by. Given also that vinyl is currently a struggling medium, many labels are folding before their first release even hits the shelves. Addiction Digital offers an entirely new concept. We offer original hard trance tracks that the masses are simply crying out for, in a medium which is instantly up to date with the current record climate. Our goal as a label is not to make money; it is to push new artists, push the Addiction brand and ultimately, of course, give the hard dance clubbers and DJs exactly what they want; proper, original, well-rounded hard trance.Addiction have appointed their Resident DJ Olly Perris, a man with plentiful experience in the hard dance scene as their label manager. Being an established producer having sold in excess of 50,000 records, and appearing on a Top 40 single, he knows a thing or two about decent hard trance, and it is his aim to give the record buying public exactly what they want - quality hard trance. With the support of Andy T Addiction’s founder, one man who knows almost all there is to know about successful promotion and, of course a successful DJ in his own right, it’s fair to say that Addiction Digital is backed by people who know exactly what they’re doing, and exactly how to give you what you want. Andy started mixing back in 2001, when purely by chance he was offered a set of 2nd hand Technics for a price that no-one could refuse. Having been clubbing in London since 1998 at event’s like Freedom @ Bagleys, and Peach @ Camden Palace, DJ’ing was a natural progression for Andy and is now a fundamental part of his life. Now founder/promoter of London based club night Addiction, and also UK Hard Trance Mp3 Download label Addiction Digital, Andy has achieved a great deal in a relatively short space of time.....It all began in 2003 when Andy was offered his 1st London gig. Since then through determination, networking and building a reputation as a skilled DJ, with a loyal following, Andy has gone on to play for some of London’s largest promotions including Frantic, HeatUK, Innovate, Twisted & Logic. The most notable of which being his midnight set at Brixton Academy NYE 2004, for HeatUK and The Gallery.Less than a year since Andy’s 1st gig, he decided to turn his hand to Promotion and started ’Addiction’ with fellow DJ Mike Harris. The original concept was simply to do a fortnightly party at an intimate London venue, showcasing the freshest London talent but also more established DJs that you would normally have to pay to see perform. The party took off straight away with the 2nd event seeing the downstairs of London’s Southside Bar filled almost to capacity. Since then, and now run solely by Andy T, Addiction has developed a reputation for holding consistently good event’s and although their legendary free events have now come to a end, Addiction until recently undoubtedly led the way for almost 2 years as London’s No 1 Thursday night FREE party. Following two successful ’all night’ events at SE1 London’s Deep Blue, and a rocking Boat party on London’s Thames in 2005, Addiction are now gunning for a new title. With one ’sell out’ Boat Party already behind them this year, and another one looming ever nearer, plus two Saturday night dates secured for later in 2006 at two of London’s key venues, the future is looking bright for this exciting promotion.In November 2005 Andy launched Addiction Digital with Olly Perris their Resident DJ and appointed label manager. Still in its infancy the label already has an enviable back catalogue with tracks constantly dominating the Mp3 Download charts. With material produced and engineered by some of the scene’s biggest talent including Alf Bamford AKA Technikal, Nick Rowland, Matt Williams and Andy’s own tracks ’Intelligent Groove’ & ’Addicted to Music’ not too mention tracks being reviewed by DJ Mag, MixMag, iDJ and Upfront Magazine the future is certainly looking bright for this label.Bringing us up to date in 2006, Andy has already secured some fantastic bookings and is hungry for more. His music style can only be described as ’highly uplifting’ however he’s no stranger to warming up the crowd either. So whether you need a DJ who can hold back the reins at the start and ease people in, or one to take the roof off at 3am then look no further. Olly Perris is a 21 year old hard house producer & DJ from Southampton, UK. During his short production career, Olly and his production partner Ashley Sinclair have achieved an incredible amount. Their debut single "The Venue" was produced entirely over the internet, setting the trend for other producers to follow. It was released on Nukleuz Blue in December 2002, and has gone on to sell almost 6,000 copies.Olly’s production career has flourished ever since this, having 6 other releases on Nukleuz, and a handful on Alphamagic Ltd with Alf Bamford, another young, upcoming hard house starlet. Olly is also label manager for Addiction Digital, the UK’s number 1 digital UK hard trance label. In total, Olly has sold over 50,000 records, appeared on a UK Top 40 single and DJ’ed all across the UK as well as Ibiza and Australia. Not bad for a 21 year old.In addition to this, Olly has appeared in interviews and features with DJ Magazine, Harderfaster, Tidy.com, Nukleuz.com and Trackitdown, and, along with Ashley, have been quoted as being "...leaders of the nu skool in hard house production..." Although studying for a History degree at Southampton University after gaining A Level and GCSE qualifications, Olly also writes as a freelance journalist for Harderfaster.Net, where he has interviewed the likes of BK, Nick Sentience, Guy McCaffer & Dom Sweeten, and also at Trackitdown.Net, where Olly also works as a talent scout, finding new labels and new tunes to feature on the site. Olly is a naturally outgoing clubber, who makes it his number 1 priority to go to student clubs at least 3 times a week! After scoring runner-up in the Best Newcomer category at the 2007 HDA’s, Trevor has gone from strength to strength and built on his already-impressive discography with some truly monstrous releases. Well, we’ve saved the best till now! ’Jazzy’ is his opus - a masterpiece of melody, this is simply one of the most powerful, emotive records of the moment featuring incredible harmonic hooks, sultry vocal licks and enough power and bosh to keep the harder ravers happy whilst fully pleasuring those who like it a little softer. We had to fight off a fair few to sign this record but we’re so proud of our efforts that frankly, we want to boast about them! But let’s not take anything away from the artists here. Matt Williams (of Edison Factor fame) teams up with Aussie-turned-Londoner JFrantik on this epic, supersonic production. ’Interstella’ is a blasting romp through hard dance with fizzing riffs, booming basslines and a melody which is going to absolutely erupt this year.
