Singer Songwriter Musician(Mandolin/Guitar) Artist
About Me
I was born in Kitchener, Ontario, and raised in Preston (now Cambridge.) In the early 70's, I completed two years at the University of Waterloo majoring in the study of Eastern Religions. In 1981 I graduated from The Ontario College of Art and finished My B.A. at the University Of Guelph with a Fine Arts major. For the next six years I worked full time as a fine artist with shows around Southern Ontario and into the U.S. In 1987-1989, I was employed as the Museum Designer and Preparator at the Wellington County Museum. From 1989 to 2001, I became a high school teacher, finishing my B.Ed. and teaching Communications Technology and Art. I retired from teaching in 2001 to pursue my love of art and music. Although my formal training is in art, music has been a part of my life from the age of 12. At that time I discovered his father's banjo/mandolin. Music has always been my way of relaxing and shutting off the world around me. It took a giant leap forward when I started to attend open stages in 1995.I am currently living in Elora Ont. with my wife Lynda. I bring to my music and art a varied background in Art, Religious Studies, and Education, (A.O.C.A., B.A., B.Ed.) with a touch of humor.
