Wow, another stock standard profile question... long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners... you know, the usual Kiwi male stuff.
Aaaah music, where would I be without you... Do you really want a list of my favourite bands? Ok then, Soundgarden, absolutely at number 1. Queen, Led Zep and Hendrix all positive influences from my Dad's record collection (A little Beatles and Beach Boys thrown in too). As much as I hate the term I'm a bit of an old school Grunge Kid, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, The Screaming Trees, Nirvana, Alice in Chains... you know the ones. I love punk rock, Hardcore, Skacore and all the loud fast stuff... A little HEAVY metal like soma Acca Dacca and Iron Maiden (none of that nu metal rubbish). Irish folk music makes me want to sing loudly and Pipe Band music makes me long to strap on a side drum and get all competitive. Anything else? Oh yeah, my Daughter has a lovely singing voice and nothing makes me smile more.
Again, I love movies so there are too many to list. The Blues Brothers is my absolute all time favourite film! The Waynes World movies are right up there, Blazing Saddles, Space Balls, anything Peter Jackson has done, but especially the LOTR trilogy (Gimli rules) and Brain Dead (or Dead Alive for you north americans). I haven't seen revenge of the nerds in a while... Or a police academy film for that matter.
Television is the spawm of the devil!!!! I wish it were, then maybe we'd get so ok programmes to watch. As it is, I barely waste what little free time I have with it. But who can resist Simpsons, Young Ones and Black Adder reruns?
I love Lord of the rings, anything by Terry Pratchett, Irvine Welsh, The Bible (who put that there... deny, deny, deny) anything about musicians... Oh, and I loved the Count of Monte Christo (the movie adaptation sucked balls, read the book instead)
When a hero comes along... with the strength to carry oooooon..... FART! oops
