About Me

I enjoy exploring the elements of a song, play with words, take the mik, play with my heart and soul.My name is Justin Curran, my main profession is taking photographs. As time passes during the winter months I sit in a room and put pen to paper and plug the guitar in and simply play. Its always been a passion of mine. The songs you hear on my space have been written by me. From an early age I have been in bands, playing music and loving every minute of it. I traumatized my folks while growing up, playing for hours on end when I was supposed to be studying. I am no longer in bands, but play in bars as often as I can, and when in the studio call a few mates in to help out. Well I did when I lived in the UK, now I am in Spain, so am pushing myself to play all instruments - on tracks in the studio not all at once! I am picking up new influences all the time, and as I say I simply love it.Ain't Gonna See Ya Today was written when I decided to leave England for sunny Spain. It is basically talking about wanting to get out of the rat race that seems to drive everyone. Its time to let loose and be free! All instruments were played by me in the studio.Lost In Space is a story in a song. And its a true story. Basically one of my mates is a film director and when I go out on the drink with Peter, we always seem to get lost in the abyss of Guinness. On one famous everlasting session Peter managed to lose 3 months worth of script. This was recorded with the Rich Happy Rice Fields, live in the studio. Its a Freeze Out was a riff I came up with during the wam up session in the studio we were simply jamming, and Paul went off on one with the harmonica, we didn't realise 15 minutes later that Mike had started recording thinking it was a take - don't worry you have a short version here!Enjoy listening!
