Band Members: Low 4 & The Lil Rock Country Boyz
Influences: Branded as “The Country Boyz” while working on their music in New York; Little Rock, Arkansas native Low 4 is using his strong southern style, and industry connects to set themselves apart from the crowd and introduce the world to Arkansas hospitality.“Our music is totally different each time you hear it,” The group says. “We like to switch up our voices and styles. We might even sing sometimes. We’re just trying to represent Arkansas and bring the love back home.”While the styles may bring variety, the beats will consistently keep you on your feet as a collection of club bangers, trunk knockers and pure hip-hop with a southern swagger. Group member Low 4 had already gathered local buzz through production on a track “Crush This, Crush That.” He credits his brothers Shorty P ( producer for Lil Flip) and King Jack for giving him his start in music. The duo however, not only kick-started Low 4’s career but they are also a piece of the fire-power on The Country Boyz production team which also includes multi-Platinum Bad Boy Records hit maker, Tony Dofat. Dofat, has worked with artists such as Notorious B.I.G., P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Will Smith, Method Man and Bad Boy’s Da Band from MTV’s Making the Band 2.“Dofat would give us a beat and we’d just rip it,” the group explains. “We were in NY writing and recording but we stood out as different because of where we’re from.. Everytime we were hanging out locally people would say ‘here come those country boyz’. The name stuck”The Lil Rock Country Boyz have now signed to Dofat’s record label, Chinatown Music Group, and are currently working on their debut album. Their “Keep It Country” mixtape made noise in the streets of Lil Rock with the hit “Where U From” which spun on Power 92.3 . They have appeared as live guests on the station's mix-show, performed at the Little Rock Summer Jamz, Juneteenth have opened for marquee artists such as Yung Joc, Trina, Eightball & MJG, and many others. Their new single “Lil Rock Bounce” is already receiving love from radio, the clubs and streets. With a hit in the making and Arkansas love in their corner The Country Boyz are poised to put Lil Rock on the map and make the world say “here come those Country Boyz!”For info, Drops, Mixtape Exclusives or any other Inquiries, please email: [email protected] Bookings, please email: [email protected]
