Mike Olson

USA based Mike Olson grew up in a small city just south of Seattle in Washington state. Classically trained and involved in music from an early age, he began experimenting with electronic music at the age of 16. An avid computer and music enthusiast, Mike began to delve deeply into the world of sequencing and synthesizer programming. A move to LA seemed seemed the natural next step and he began working as a recording engineer and programmer for the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Hooverphonic, Mel C, Jeff Beck, Aerosmith and William Orbit just to name a few. Inspired to create on his own Mike began posting his work on mp3.com under the name of Guardians Of The Earth back in early 2000 where he was welcomed with rave reviews. Since then Mike's GOTE recordings have been released on several labels, spun by DJ's around the world, and remixed by the likes of Jimpy and Paul Van Dyk. Mike Olson continues to be influenced by and produce various styles of electronic music, experimenting in new and old technologies while utilizing his classical training and engineering experience to create the freshest tracks around.
