I suppose I've made myself an ex-pat now, having moved last year from Berkeley, California to Aberystwyth, Wales. I'm loving it here and enjoying my course in Equine Studies at Aberystwyth University. I live in the halls of residence with 6 crazy English people, and we have a great time creating our own entertainment. I started taking horseriding lessons roughly 3 years ago, and I just never stopped. Now I am working on learning dressage and jumping. I rode at an eventing barn last year and now my Equine course presents plenty of challenges and adventures. I like other animals too, mostly cats, especially my 2-year-old cat Pyewackett, who is large, black, strong, and insane. I also have another cat called Fiona and a dog called Missie. My wonderful Colette died Feb. 2006, RIP. She was, without a doubt, the sweetest, classiest kitty ever.

How long have you loved horses I admired them during my early life, but I only came to truly love them when I was in my mid-teens.
When was the first time you had the chance to ride Pony ride, likely. Real riding. . . probably when I got sat on Ican bareback and went around the lake.

Do you like ponies Some of them have hearts of gold, but I wouldn't ride one. I hate their movement; so tiny!
Did you ride ponies when you were little Not often.
Do you use alot of gear when you ride, explain an everyday ride GP saddle, brushing boots, cavesson bridle, maybe with flash. When I jump Kestrel I will use a running martingale.
Does your family like horses/ride too No way!
What are your horses name(s)- I ride quite a few horses, but most often Kestrel and Spock. I also take care of Foxy; I can't ride her atm because of her foal.
Breeds Kestrel's an Irish Draught/Thoroughbred, and I believe Spock is a TB too, but he's nothing like one. Foxy's an Irish thing too.
Colors Kestrel's a fleabitten grey, Spock is a bay, Foxy is a dapple grey.
Mare/Gelding/Stallion Spock and Kestrel are geldings, Foxy is a mare.
How old? Spock is 20, Kestrel is late teens, Foxy is around 12 (I think).
Diet Readi-Grass, cubes, Foxy gets stud mix.
Favorite treats They like the appley things I give them.
What are their personalities Kestrel is a complete dick in the stable and a lazy old fart to ride. Spocky's quiet and sweet, though a bit sly. Foxy can be a right little bitch, but she's great when you get to know her. She's grumpy to ride, but she will deliver and she's a great jumper.

Do you prefer Mud or Rain when working with horses? Not particularly.
