Gino Russo A.K.A TOUCH

In the very beginning started when I was a young child I always knew I wanted to be a Dj, From the first time I seen a record and turntable I new in my heart what I wanted to do. I would do anything I could too control the party from grade school to highschool and then. In the summer of 1990, a young musical neophyte wandered into an impromptu warehouse party simmering in the industrial outskirts of Toronto. Hours later, the teenager stumbled out on to the heat soaked pavement having experienced a sonic revelation which was to alter the course of his existence.From this epiphany, began Gino Russo’s journey into the underground electronic music scene taking shape in back alley nightclubs, and abandoned factories burgeoning throughout the city. With the fervour of a religious zealot, he attended the weekly hedonistic rituals led by the prophet dj’s of the early hardcore rave scene. His devotion was without prejudice and steadfast.Never one to discriminate against one musical style over another, Gino enthusiastically embraced the various musical genres vying for attention. All throughout his teens he never missed a beat. While for some, this may have been considered the “party years”, for Gino, who no doubt enjoyed a good time as the next party animal, this would also turn out be a formative period where he acquired an education in the art and science of the mix, as he puts it “by virtue of having gone to every single rave, warehouse party and after hours event ever held in the city spanning over half a decade, I received a Master’s Degree in DJology.”With house music flowing through his veins and possessing a solid theoretical understanding of the craft, Gino felt ready to proselytize his brand of rhythmic beats gestating in him for years.After a stint which lasted nearly a year as the resident DJ at the infamous UNDERGROUND after hours locale, hidden deep in the heart of Toronto’s clubland, Gino began to make his first foray onto the scene. This experience led him to land spots at well known venues such as BOA, SYSTEM SOUND BAR, FLUID and a variety of other clubs in the city.Gino has recently been added to Seduction Production’s roster of established and up and coming talent.
