Lucy Beton

Lucy Beton was formed by Bilge Kosebalaban(Direc-t) and Alley in 1998 in a little studio owned by Alley in Taksim/Istanbul. They have never rehearsed but rather improvised for sometimes 12 hours non-stop until they fell asleep. Even though all of their impros turned out to be impressive psychedelic-funk-punk hits and they have managed to record about 1 thousandth of it on tape, those recordings still have not been listened to by anyone including the band.=)) The band have given their first concert in a concert hall in taksim(downstairs of Ada Muzik)in 2000.They have done some heavy-duty busking in Bahariye and played in a rotary benefit concert in Ozgurluk Park in Goztepe-Istanbul. They have also made some laptop music with Bilge happily nodding along somewhere in the process.
