About Me
I am the foremost ethnomusicologist in Belize. I have written three novels and one work of historical fiction and a slew of imaginative posts on Shemspeed.com. I spent much time researching the artists on Modular Moods label and have learned a great deal. I love how they to overcome the rigid classification of musical genres according to geographical, historical, and cultural borders. They seem to integrate an amalgam of tunes and melodies, serving as a platform for multicultural exchange among artists, performers, and audience members. Y-Love has definitely been an inspiration to me. He seems to have found the perfect balance of art, teaching and religion. I have never met an being that has had sucha vast well of knowledge and could teach it all in rhyme. I learned of a fabled mix, that was said to blend every genre imaginable into one cohesive listening experience and made it's discovery my life-long goal. After 5 years of back ally investigations and dead end leads, I stumbled upon John Cusack at a record shop in the city of Belmopan, playing the original master recording on a continuous loop often yelling his own interjections. Using a Solaris microphone and a styrofoam cup, I recorded and proceeded to publicly release Sound Advice's mix and named it Play Anything.
