Punkster tops have been getting rave reviews at baby showers and birthday parties in LA, NYC, San Francisco, and around the country. Catering to a wide audience with different shirts for different lifestyles, Punkster keeps a classic wit without being crass or tacky.
Debuting with only ribbed tanks in one size and ten slogans, Punkster has quickly expanded into sizes 3-24 months, rompers, long sleeve t-shirts, and an array of slogans and colors. With national media coverage, Punkster quickly found its way into the hands of several celebrities including Britney Spears, Katie Holmes, and Sarah Jessica Parker, who personally called the designers to congratulate them on their line!
Leanne Ford created and began running Punkster at 23 years old, taking the vision from city to city as she moved around the country before rooting Punkster in Long Beach, California. Leanne gained her experience in design and marketing with her first line, Messandmod, at Ohio University, working with Heatherette in New York City, and Quiksilver in Orange County. Punkster is simply a natural progression back to her roots in homegrown design.
Ashleigh Wells has supported Leanne’s vision since the beginning and left her job at a New York PR firm to work full time as a partner at Punkster. She is involved in all aspects of the company including the creative, press and business. She is currently completing her MBA at New York University with a focus in entrepreneurship.
The girls have been the best of friends since high school where they met at a YMCA camp in Pennsylvania and spent their summers working on the waterfront staff together throughout college. They knew immediately they would be accomplishing great things together, and they are having an amazing time doing them all.
