On September 21st, In the early 70's another music lover was born. In Brooklyn, New York named Karen. Blessed in the arms of West Indian parents one being Bajan and the other being a Trinidadian. This music lover was surrounded by music in every form and fashion possable. Starting with Labour Day on Eastern Parkway for kiddies carnival, Crapover in Barbados as well as different Bajan Festivals and not to mention her secound home Trinidad where she enjoys playin mas each and every year. To Countless bus rides & children parties in Midnight Blue, Rainbow Terrance, Tildon Hall just to mention a few things that was done in her childhood days in NYC. In Karen's early teenage years her mother decided to relocate to Miami Florida, Where Karen also played mas and enjoy the Caribbean Culture. Karen started to sing for her school chours in Middle & High school compiting with the school State and National compitions, Winning championship in 1990. And being awarded top lead vocalist in 1989,1990,and 1991. Right after Karen had to take a break because of motherhood in 1992 where she blessed her family with a bouncing baby girl. Being so determain Karen didn't let that stop her at all, Karen went on to assisting her mother with a group called the Norland Dancers where she was a member her self, The group of about 12 dance there way to different venues. And amaze people with the caribbean spirit. In 1993 the dance group came to a end for various reasons, Never putting her culter aside and stayin focused, Karen always attend carnival in New York,Atlanta,Barbados,Key West,DC and Trinidad not only for the carnival but for the experiance in different Calypso tents and Soca shows. While doing such Karen was givin the name "ThickSauce" in 2002, just by her different apperance as a "TIC"young lady. Returning back to Florida not gettin the advantage to do what she wanted to do at this point which was recording music, A nerve of giving up came into Karen's eyes where she left her talent alone to focus on college. Attending 3 yrs in a local college in Florida Karen graduated and started working and living her life thinking that her music life came to a end. Til that blessed day ThickSauce aka Karen met a friend Ian Savary aka Souljie out of Legal Vibes a well known Dj in Brooklyn, New York. Who then heard the Determaination in her voice and linked ThickSauce to his good friend Lyrikal. Lyrikal a Brooklyn top artist known for "De Hunter","More Gyal" as well as, "Hard Wine","21 Gun Salute" and many more. Assisted ThickSauce by taking her to different studios and introducing her to many different people like Mad Stuntman, DJ Maffie, Dainjamental, Shumpie and many more out of Harmoney production. From there Karen landed her big debut "ForePlay" featuring Lyrikal back in Febuary 2005. "ForePlay" was recorded with Harmony Production Hits, Produced by Dainjamentalz, Marffie and Shumpie written by Lyrikal. In 2004-2005 ThickSauce made her self very known in Brooklyn, New York as well as her based home Miami, Florida which landed her to do an opening at Hialeah Race Track for the band lauching of Miami Carnival in August 2005. She then deciding to spread her wings some more and traveled back to Trinidad where she met up with Recording Producer Joe Miller in Armia Trinidad. Which allowed her to record "Sweet Trinbagonian Man" in early 2006 in No Crap Studio, Spreading her love all over ThickSauce made her self known in some parts of Trinidad visiting Red 96.7fm, and just with her friendly spirit and the name she was successful. Before leaving the sweet land of Trinidad ThickSauce met new artist Baja "P" and Jr.King. Where she did a collaberation titled "Baby" Produced by Joe Miller himself out of No Crap Studios in Arima,Trinidad and written by ThickSauce, Baja P and Jr.King early 2006. Around the end of August 2006 ThickSauce linked up with Metric with the help of her close friend Nyah out of DC, Who then brought her into Conquering Force Movement to bless her up with the lyrics to "Believe" written by Metric himself. Music produced by Lamar - "Beebo" in Trinidad. Returning back home to Miami ThickSauce has had her arms filled with local interviews, and shows she's lovin it all. In her own words "Music is my life and my inspiration. I don't know what I'll do with out music in my life" ThickSauce is on her way to stardum!!!!! Giving inspirational Thanks to Souljie,Lyrikal,Marffie,Shumpie,Dainjamentalz,Joe Miller,StuntMan,Ital D,Dj Q,Nyah,Metric,Lamar,Dj Wartone and all Dj's around the World that took time out to show her Lot's of LOVE!!
