i like stuff. and things. exploring new things and new stuff. im interested in life and everything it has to offer, both good and bad. i tend to spend a lot of time paying the most attention to music, movies, politics and global affairs/international relations and more specifically war and intelligence.
jesus. people who like to fight in the name of peace and fuck in the name of virginity. polar bears and penguins (to find out how they REALLY feel about coca cola). any one who actually has something remotely intelligent and interesting to say that involves more then local gossip, celebrity gossip or overall useless conversation in general. hot chicks. cute chicks. the mildly obese. people who like to laugh and can make me laugh. just about anyone and everyone who isnt a knob, goof, jerk, racist, black, chinese or anything other then white. im just joking. if you're cool with me then im cool with you. if you're not cool, i probably wont stick around long enough to care.most importantly, people who like stuff. and things. in no specific order. and also people like the ones in the video below:.. width="425" height="350" ..
if it sounds good, i like it. i dont give a shit what genre it is, what language its in, who wrote it, etc. i would break it down into genres but every day there seems to be a new one and its gotten ridiculous so i dont bother. most of the time i listen to what could be lumped into the "rock" catagory and its various sub plots. i dig other stuff just as much but for some reason a good lyrical verse or a 'dope funky fresh beat' just doesnt hit the nerves of my soul the same way a scorching guitar solo can. music is everything is music.
im an escapist and a total cinephile. i like to watch movies in complete silence so i can totally immerse myself in the world of the story. i hate seeing movies in theatres because of all the talking, munching, crunching, crinkling, kicking etc that people bring with them. i dont have a favorite; so many movies have been able to strike a chord and leave a lasting impression and i have yet to see one that truly rises above all the rest. i like Wes Anderson movies (Royal Tennenbaums, Life Aquatic, etc), war movies, movies about government, spies and espionage, conspiracies, comedies, satires, documentaries, movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Lost in Translation, etc. i also like mindless action movies that let you just turn off your brain and be entertained. i liked the Notebook and Garden State. i dig mobster movies, martial arts movies (thats a BIG one), whatever...anything. i generally dont like people who dont like watching movies. pop corn is a must (one of my favorite snacks ever). movies might really be my most favorite thing in life.
daily show, colbert report, weeds, the unit, 24, chappelles show, late night with conan o'brien, letterman, family guy, simpsons, chappelles show, anything on TLC, the Discovery channel, history channel and other similar channels, entourage...like with movies, anything that tells a good story in an intelligent way. tv has a lot to offer, you just gotta sift through the mounds of shit. im also a firm believer that shows like "the Jerry Springer" show say A LOT about the mentality of the masses and are important social commentators. in the years of the future, im sure Jerry Springer will be used as an example of everything wrong with today.
i like to read. elmore leonard is on of my favs. but i like it all. reading in general is good and if you do it, chances are you're ok by me. i read a lot of books about international affairs, war and the history of warfare, and espionage. during the school year i dont really get a chance to do any recreational reading.the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy is one that definitely struck a chord and left a lasting impression. one of the best social commentaries on human beings and society on a whole ever written. and funny!
just about everyone on the planet is a hero in one way or another. people who are able to overcome adversity and extreme situations, people who do the things i wouldnt want to, war vets and people in the armed forces, people who are able to make me see and feel things i hadnt seen and felt before (writers, artists, personalities, etc), people who have been through things and done things i havent so that i DONT have to, people who stand for something (even if its something i dont agree with. heroism is a vague concept that seems to be applied to a lot of different people, in different situations and for different reasons. human beings as a species! keep up the good work team!
