Absolutely Lucid

About Me

Myself. I'm working on a new album called counterpoint. Band started late '05 for jamming. Looking for band members. Call me up to jam, (905) 844-6995, in the GTA.My passions are Filmmaking, Music, and Video Games. I've played the piano since I was only a few years old, and have since picked up playing Guitar, bass, and Drums, though the Keyboard remains my main gig. I've always loved to sing. I was always in the Choir from Middle School through my first three years of University. It was in 3rd University that I formed Absolutely Lucid back in '05. I started off playing with a bass player, but he was never committed enough. We still got some recordings down which sit on my computer and disks around the house. After 3rd year I moved to a new school and continued my song writing solo in their top of the line music studio. It was there that I recorded Rubbish, K06, Note to Self, Naked in the Snow, and The Darkness. I also did some jamming with a guitar player along the way, those tracks are around too. I might still get to jamming with him again one day. Who I'd most like to write and record songs with is Thom Gill. Here's hopin. I've recently upgraded my recording eqiptment and am hard at work on my new album Counterpoint. It's going to be a double album mixing song covers, brand new songs, and re-worked versions of my old tracks that my old recorder couldn't handle, and time has allowed me to make better. I'm looking for a label, but let me make this clear: I DON'T BELIEVE IN PAYING FOR MUSIC If I sell my album in stores, I will sell it to the stores for the cost of production only. This way, I hope that store prices on my Double Album will be something like $12 or less. I wouldn't want a double any higher. I'll always support bootleging of every show I do, and if you come across free downloads of my music on the internet somehow, I support you having them for free, and might have posted them there myself. I hope that I never need rely on my music to support my livelyhood. If I do, I'd still only bring in from live shows what I need to survive. If I were as big as the Chili Peppers, my shows would never cost $100. I'd keep them to $20 a ticket or less, and even that's steep. Yeah, bigger venues cost more to rent, and to me, selling out a show is a form of selling out if people who want to see you can't at another show in the area. If you're reading this, mind what I'm writing, and remember, these are beliefs I will hold to for dear life. If I am faced with such opportunities and break these promises, you can run around calling me a sellout all you want, because that's what I'll have become. I've been writing a story for 8 years as of my writing this. The song bar Fight is taken from a scene in my story. I've been developing it in paper in a sort of written storyboard format and translating it into an epic console style RPG for the PC. I want to write it as a novel as well, and use it to kick start my career in Film. I'm currently in school to get into the Film Industry. And Firefly is an awesome show. I hope it comes back one day, even with a new cast.I'd like to meet: Joss Whedon, Al McInnis, Hall Gill, Ozzy, Mike Portnoy, James LaBrie, Kevin Smith, Matthew BroderickMy interests are: RPGs, Skiing, Film, Music, Adventure, WritingI'm into the bands on my top friends list.
