About Me

I am currently attending Jacksonville State University. My major is Elementary Education. My reason for choosing this major is I love children. I do not have any of my own but would love to have some eventually. I am a member of the Army National Guard. There isn't really much to say about that part of my life. Like every other female in life I would like to get married, get a house built and have a family. But of course I got to take one step at a time and in about 5-10 years I might actually start looking for all of that. But for now I like to hang out with my friends and meet new people. I feel that a person can never have too many friends. One day I would love to travel the world and have new experiences. I always love to try new things. My Interests

I like to hang out with my friends, read books and watch television. I also love to have conversations with my roommate about family, life and the Lord.

I'd like to meet:

In my lifetime I would like to meet LL Cool J,Jamie Fox, Fantasia, and Monique. I would like to meet anyone with exciting dreams and new ideas. You don't have to always meet the famous people. I like to meet the normal people also just as long as you can hold a great conversation.

Music:

When it comes down to music I will listen to anything. As I mentioned earlier I love to experience new things and if you listen to different types of music then you can learn the different melodies. Also you can get a taste of why some people might actually listen that type of music.

Movies:

I have always been interested in karate, love and mystery. I haven't ever really liked to watch horror but as I have grown over the years I realized that those things aren't real so I can watch them in the daylight. I don't think I want to experience those at night. Mostly I watch comedy, romance, mystery and adventure.

Television:

My favorite television networks are Black Entertainment Television (BET), Lifetime, Comedy Central, UPN, and the Game Show Network (GSN). My routine rarely changes if it doesn't come on one of these channels then I probably won't see it. But at times I tend to watch FX, and MTV.

Books:

I like to read romance, mystery and adventure. Mostly I like to read books by the African American authors. I will get out of my comfort zone ever now and then but not very often I look at the cover and if the book looks interesting then I will read it.

Heroes:

My heroes would have to be my grandmother and my mother. These two are the ones that have been caring for me for my entire life. I look up to my mother because when nobody else wanted to do anything she was always there. She was a single mother and my brother and I never wanted for anything. She always maintained the house, the children and several jobs all in the 24 hour days. Even when the day was over if she hadn't completed what need to be done then she would skip sleeping and keep working. She is very independent and willing to help anybody. I look up to my grandmother because even though she is in and out of the hospital with her heart she refuses to let the devil keep her down. Both of these women are my life and I want to be just like them when I get to be their age.
