courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death

About Me

Hello. My name's Penny, I'm 19, from the moon and one day i'm going to give up my high-profile position of World-Leader to run a quaint little book shop/cafe somewhere in the UK(or possibly Europe..*ponders*) and drive an original VW Beetle - oh and it has to be green...and a convertable. : )Ok. so i'm not actually from the moon, but you know it sounds good! I suppose i'm a bit of an oddity, i have been called mysterious on some occasions, but who really cares what anyone else thinks.Still deciding what else to write - so i shall update soon!
You Are Phish Food Ice Cream
You've been described as gooey and fudgey. Sorry. What Flavor Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Are You?

My Interests

exploring. just hanging out with friends. moshing to crazy music with my sisters whilst driving down the M6 and round Spaghetti junction! reading. drawing. cloud watching...daydreaming.ok, seriously, i do like reading, its my way of escaping the world. Also like historical/period dramas, I just love all the amazing costumes!! Um, i like to keep up with events n so on going on around the world, understanding how things work and why stuff is going on, although strangely enough i'm not much of a scientist.

I'd like to meet:

Lots of people; nice people, odd people, intriguing people, funny people....everyone really. Although, saying all that, i can be a bit shy and not always willing to be the one starting up conversation....a little contradictory perhaps.

Music:

Generally not fussed as long as its a good song....but mainly rock (thats rock in general, can't be arsed to list all the stupid different names for every single slightly different sounding track....IT'S ALL ROCK. IT'S ALL MUSIC!!)oo oo and grunge and indie...oh wait. now i'm contradicting myself.

Movies:

Ok. i've already mentioned that i like period dramas....i also like films based on classical works or set several hundred years ago; like Kingdom of Heaven and Troy....oh, and for all the guys dressed in sexy costumes!...mmmm A few others; The Libertine, From Hell, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hotel Rwanda, Princess Bride, Robin Hood: men in tights, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Code 46, Lorna Doone, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, Kung Fu Hustle, Captain Corelli's Mandolin....i could go on...but...i can't be bothered.

Books:

Easier to list authors really; Raymond E. Feist, Margaret Atwood, Janny Wurts, Roald Dahl, Juliet Marillier, Terry Pratchett, Lois De Bernieres, Audrey Niffenegger, Elizabeth Kostova, Ursula K.Le Guin, Bernard Cornwell, J.K. Rowling, Jill Murphy.....there's more i'm sure.

Heroes:

Usually character's from books or films...keeping in mind however, and unfortunately, that they're fictional. I'm somewhat undecided as to who, if anyone, i'd class as a hero, although i could name a few people who have inspired me. Lucian Freud, Salvador Dali, Edward R. Hughes, Richard Feynman, Friedrich Nietzsche...
