started playing drums aged 13 got into a punk/new wave band ( cut out )for a couple of years left school at 16 ( a big regret !! don't do it kids.) got involved in the squat/traveller scene from 16 onwards , played drums in festival dub/ska band "back to the planet" for 5 years toured all over europe with them and sigend a record deal with london records , released album which wasn't all that great and gave up. ditched the drums for machines in 1994 ( 24 years old ), and started recording with the liberator djs in 1995. used my alias d.a.v.e. the drummer for the first time for bag records , and it stuck , since then i have made over 100 techno records released on london labels and other european/worldwide labels. keeping busy now with regular studio bookings , 2 record labels ( hydraulix and apex ) gigging at weekend and updating my site www.davethedrummer.net i have a 3 year old son with my wife justine.
