I was born singing in 1969 in Kgs. Lyngby in Denmark. My parents had a job that required us moving around a lot. This took me to all parts of Dk and 1,5 years in London as a bubba. Still singing I left home in 1988 to live and learn in New York. 18 years of age I posed as a 33 year old, due to a Swedish monthly bus fair ticket, and was therefore allowed access to the cool jazz joints in Grenwich (and other bars in the Manhattan area). Singing my heart out with some of the cool cats I learned from experience how to interpret and convey words and music. Writing was always a huge part of my constant singing, and in 2003 I left the pro jazz scene, only to return home once in a blue moon. However my music emanates from and reveal my jazz roots. A year and a half ago I started writing lyrics in Danish. This has taken me to a whole new dimension of me. And I get to feel mentally naked or if you want exposed. It is very challenging and I love a good challenge.....
